Science Nights at Hawkins Automotive
What started as a simple way for Josh Hawkins, sprint car driver and owner of Josh Hawkins Automotive, to spend quality time with his kids has grown into something much bigger. Science Night began with small, weekly science experiments at home, but the enthusiasm quickly spread. Soon, friends, parents, and neighbors joined in, turning a family tradition into a community event.

Family Tradition Grows
To meet the growing demand, Josh partnered with Josh Hanna, Ph.D. chemist, sprint car driver, and owner of Myco Plastics. Together, they moved Science Night to the local library and expanded the program to include homeschool groups, elementary schools, and larger community events.

Each Science Night is packed with hands-on experiments, engaging demonstrations, and lessons designed to ignite curiosity in kids and parents alike. From chemistry to physics, these events are not only fun but also educational, combining the Joshes’ shared passions for science and racing to inspire the next generation of thinkers and creators.
